Notable Denizen of The Maw: The Jailer - The Jailer is an ancient and malevolent being who has been siphoning anima and souls away from the rest of the Shadowlands in order to hoard power for himself, trapping many of Azeroth's greatest heroes in the process.
Notable toys from events include Borr-Geth's Fiery Brimstone, Orophea's Lyre, Ancient Elethium Coin. The Maw is home to Torghast, Tower of the Damned. 
However, by completing level 8 of Twisting Corridors in Torghast, you can earn the Corridor Creeper mount, which is usable in The Maw.
Ground mounts are not allowed in The Maw. The currency used is Stygia, which is acquired through various events and rare-mob drops throughout The Maw. Ve'nari sells valuable items to improve transportation and increase effectiveness within the Maw. Those brave enough to take on The Maw will find plenty of danger, adventure, and rewards. No one has ever escaped The Maw, and anyone who set to explore the horrific vortex is never heard of again.
